Mt. Kilimanjaro Routes…
Your routes to the Rooftop of Africa

Machame Route
The Machame route, also known as the Whiskey Route, is a classic Kilimanjaro trail. It’s one of the most popular routes to climb Kilimanjaro.
We at Divine Glory adventure organize expeditions annually along this trail that starts in a beautiful tropical forest. The Machame route is available in 6 and 7-day variations, with the second offering a significantly better acclimatization profile and summit success rate.
Machame is a great route with amazing views suitable even for beginners. You will enjoy hiking through all five climatic zones of Kilimanjaro, scale the picturesque Barranco Wall, and marvel at the alien-looking Dendrosenecio kilimanjari – truly unique plants that are not found anywhere else in the world.
Finally, on the summit day, you will get to ascend Uhuru Peak and witness a breathtaking sunrise, the iconic glaciers, and alpine desert zone near the equator.

Lemosho Route
Lemosho is a classic trail that has gained much popularity in recent years, and deservingly so: it offers amazing views, a great acclimatization profile, and some of the highest summit success rates among all routes. Starting on the western slope of Kilimanjaro, the Lemosho route is available in 3 itineraries: 6, 7, and 8 days on the mountain.
One of Lemosho’s highlights is the Cathedral Peak – one of the highest points of the Shira Volcano 3,872 m (12,703 ft). You’ll have a chance to go on an acclimatization hike to Cathedral Peak and enjoy the best views Kilimanjaro has to offer. Another iconic feature of Lemosho are huge alien-looking plants, Dendrosenecio kilimanjari, that are only found on this mountain. The Lemosho route was the path Angela Vorobieva, aged 86, took to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro, setting a Guinness World Record as the oldest person to ever climb this mountain.

Marangu Route
The Marangu Route, often called the “Coca-Cola route,” is the oldest path up Mount Kilimanjaro and one of the most popular ones. Opting for the Marangu route, you will repeat the very first successful Kilimanjaro summit by Hans Meyer that took place in 1889. The trail lies inside Kilimanjaro National Park, traversing all climatic zones of the mountain from tropical forest to alpine desert. Uniquely, it is the only route that offers dormitory-style huts for overnight stays. The Marangu route is available in 5 and 6-day variations, with the second one being significantly less difficult.
